We finished a fascinating meeting about the great significance of the HR department in the organization. We talked about how to develop managers and measure the Digital IQ of employees and the entire organization. The presentation's main message is that you shouldn't just focus on the obvious functions in transformation, but on the functions that are less to concern the customer directly. "It is impossible to assume that the transformation is complete if other departments in the organization, such as finance, production, HR, and more broadly the entire organization, are unaware of the digital impact on each employee's daily work."

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak about digital transformation in front of organizational learning managers. When I asked the audience how many of them had heard of digital transformation before, I was surprised to see how few hands were raised. Anyone who believes they can digitize an organization and lead cultural change without the involvement of Human Resources in general and the Learning Department in particular does not comprehend the process. It is impossible to improve digital literacy in an organization without increasing the knowledge and awareness of all employees, not just those in the digital marketing or information systems departments. Digital organizations are flat organizations where the bottom-up knowledge and ideas for improving processes and customer experience come from.

In the previous few months, I've heard from multiple digital managers, marketing managers, and chief information officers that there isn't a unifying body that unifies the new era digital activity. The same era that many define as the most significant revolution since the first industrial revolution. This is unsurprising, given that the discussion over digital organizations is still relatively new, having only been debated globally in the last three years. So, we decided at Kamedia to pick up the gauntlet and to join the world’s largest community of Chief Digital, Data, and Analytics Officers – CDO Club, where organizations from 12 different countries are members, and with over 1,500 senior CEOs in various key positions.
